It's athletic physical time. This year only incoming 7th and 9th graders need an athletic physical. Also if you didn't not have a physical on file from last year you will need one. Lex is offering them on Wed. July 15th. See the attached picture for details.
Student 9-12th grades please check PowerSchool for your schedules for the 2020-2021 school year. You have until Aug 1st to change classes if possible.. Contact the school if you or your parents have any questions. Master Schedule can be found on the website under students.
The village of Elwood could use your help. During a lunch meeting the village board heard and accepted an offer from USA Communications in Kearney to potentially wire the town with fiber and offer up to 1Gbps (Giga bits per second ) Internet access. As part of the grant USA Communications is applying for to fund this project they need letters of support as well as a speed test and your opinion on how Internet access may have affected you. While this project would probably not be finished during this school year it still greatly benefits anyone working or studying from home. Based on our past few months, access to fast Internet would certainly benefit all of us whether at work, being students at home or at play.
Attached are some sample letters and a link to the speed test. We need all this by tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5 PM. The village appreciates your help and support in this endeavor that will benefit all parts of the community.

Beginning tomorrow, June 9th, we will be putting a PM snack in with all bagged lunches. This snack will be bagged separately. The PM snack will take place of our original plan to offer breakfast (pre COVID).

I have been asked several times in the past few days about the lunch program. Do we intend to continue serving meals for lunch.?Yes absolutely. Will there be a break in service? No there will not be a break. We intend to continue meals right into our normal summer service. What do you need to do? If you are in the list, stay on the list. If you wish to be added to the list give us a call. Otherwise everything will continue as it has since March. The Board of Education was very supportive of this program at our May meeting on Monday and we have no intention of interrupting our service of lunch.
