Parents, students, staff and patrons:
Today is the end of the 2020-2021 school year. What a year it has been! I want to thank you all for your hard work and commitment to face-to-face instruction this entire year. Our number one goal was to keep the doors open and we achieved that goal with flying colors! However, we must all understand that accomplishing this goal was not easy. It took courage, commitment, and a lot of extra work. I am so grateful to have been in a community and state that allowed us the opportunity to work together and devise solutions that fit the specific needs of our patrons and students. The fact that we were also able to have students participate in activities is also highly impressive. These activities may have looked different, but they were available for the students, and for that we should be grateful.
This year will certainly be long remembered for the numerous changes, extensive protocols, and uncertainty. I want to thank you all for your continued commitment to the education of the students at Elwood Public Schools. I am proud of what we accomplished this year, and proud to be a member of this exceptional community.
Respectfully,
Daren L. Hatch
