The April In-service was led by Jim Kleine, Sandy Dean, and Kate Hatch. We took a moment to review Elwood Public School’s current and proposed Mission Statements. The newly proposed statement was accepted, with the new revisions kept in place.
It was announced that all SIP goals for year 1 have been met. We will start our 2021-22 school year by setting our school's Writing goals. Pre and post Writing tests will be used to measure all students' growth in this area.
The teachers concluded the in-service by meeting with their committees to discuss what steps were still needed for them to complete the tasks for the year.
Beginning this morning, masks are optional at Elwood School. Students are still welcome to wear masks if parents or students so choose.
Our Friend of the Week is Cameron! He was nominated for always being a great friend to everyone around him! Awesome job, Cameron!

This position is an evening position or can be adjusted to an overnight position. During the summer, the position will be adjusted to a daytime shift. The Hi-Line Varsity Golf team golfed in the Amherst Invite on 1 April. We're proud of how Cade Schmidt, Kaden Nickell, Riley Rushton, and Julian Seberger golfed in the cold and wind. Go Bulls!
Our sophomores attended the career fair in Holdrege yesterday! They listened to a panel and then visited booths to learn about many different careers. We are thankful for opportunities like this that show our students the many amazing career opportunities in our area!
