
Additional COVID-19 Immunization Clinics Added to Schedule
KEARNEY –Two Rivers Public Health Department has announced additional immunization COVID-19 clinics in the district. Two Rivers is expanding the current clinical schedule to increase access (a community health improvement plan priority) in addition to accommodating increased demand for services. Two Rivers Public Health Department will now have a weekly vaccination clinic in our mobile vaccine unit in Holdrege, Kearney, and Lexington. Starting August 30th, the clinics will be from 5 PM – 7 PM as follows:
• Monday- Holdrege (Phelps Co Courthouse)
• Tuesday- Kearney (Two Rivers Office)
• Thursday- Lexington (Dawson Co Annex Building)
Two Rivers Public Health Department, in partnership with Phelps Memorial Health Center, will hold a special clinic on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Holdrege at the Holdrege Market Place located at 1419 Burlington St, in Holdrege. Please look for the mobile clinic trailer between 10AM and 2PM.
Following the update to the FDA Emergency Use Authorization, Two Rivers Public Health Department will administer an additional dose to individuals who are immunocompromised when the individual is able to bring a doctor’s note indicating the need to administer COVID-19 vaccine. Two Rivers will continue administering primary and secondary doses of COVID-19 vaccine to any person over the age of 12.
Two Rivers welcomes everyone needing vaccinations to attend. Please register ahead of time at vaccinate.ne.gov in order to speed up your experience at the clinic. Two Rivers Public Health Department staff will ask you to fill out a COVID-19 screening form and consent form prior to you receiving vaccine. The TeamMates Annual Conference is in Lincoln this week and the Elwood TeamMates program is gearing up for an awesome year of mentoring!


We have received some inquiries about the vaccination trailer. It is scheduled to be in Elwood on August 4th from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. The trailer will be in the school parking lot on August 4th. After school starts, the trailer will be in front of the pool or along the football field fence. Trailer is scheduled again on August 25th.
