Kassandra Salisbury competed at the Maxwell Speech Tournament today. She placed 6th in Poetry and 4th in Program of Oral Interpretation. Go Pirate Speech!

Our Foods/Culinary 1 class brought creativity to the kitchens this week creating artwork focaccia bread. Students were able to put to use their learning about yeast breads as well as how herbs, spices, and other ingredients add flavor and beauty to breads.

Ninth graders in Physical Science constructed three different devices using a golf ball and materials they could find in the science room that would demonstrate acceleration. The first device demonstrated change in speed. The second device demonstrated change in direction. The third device demonstrated both a change in speed and direction. They had a friendly competition amongst groups to see who could construct the most creative device.

It is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Bus drivers not only keep students safe but are also the friendly smile students start and end the day with. It takes all hands on deck to cover bus routes in our small school and our staff members wear many hats. Thank you, bus drivers!

This afternoon we celebrated our growth on winter MAP testing with ice cream sundaes! Thank you to the FCS department for making brownies, and the seniors for serving us. We appreciate our students' effort on their tests. It is so fun to see how much they have grown since fall!
