Berlyn Schutz was the kick off guest speaker for the Pirates Providing Hope campaign. She talked to the school and community about her life long relationship with running and the impact it has had in her life. Her experiences competing in cross country and track throughout high school taught her a lot about perseverance. Now, while competing in her first year of her collegiate career, Berlyn continues to learn from running. She is developing new and important skills, such as managing her time and health, as well as learning the importance and joy of working together to achieve a common goal. Thank you, Berlyn, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to be with us and start this meaningful fundraiser.

Get ready to spell! This week, students in grades 2-8 are completing their classroom-level spelling bees. The top four spellers from each class in grades 5-8 will compete at the Gosper County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, 6 February, at 4 pm in the Music room.
Tomorrow is the day! Pirates Providing Hope will welcome guest speaker Berlyn Schutz at 9:00 in the Elwood gymnasium! We also will be having a Silent Auction that opens tomorrow. These items are located on the stage and will be available for bidding until February 7th at the conclusion of the Open House activities. The majority of items included in the auction are hand made by the students at Elwood Public School. Come join the fun!
