
Today is the day! Today we celebrate Rare Disease Day and acknowledge the unique impact these diseases have on our students' and loved ones’ lives. We are wrapping up our final day of the Pirates Providing Hope campaign. Thank you so much for participating, donating, encouraging, and providing your support. The Pirate Speech Team will have a Public Performance Night on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 PM in the music room. Come hear our students speak as they prepare for Districts!


Congratulations to both the Hi-Line boys' and girls' cross country teams for being recipients of the Nebraska Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Awards. Boys were one of 17 & and the girls were one of 19 Class D teams to receive the honor in the state. #gobulls

Trap Shooting: There will be a meeting on Sunday, February 25th @ 2 pm at the Izaak Walton League building south of Arapahoe. Students in grades 7-12 that are interested in Trap Shooting this spring are invited to attend this meeting. Students unable to attend this meeting are invited to contact Shannon Bennet at (308) 325-4506.

“The smile of a child is the heart’s sunshine, transforming moments into memories.” February 15, 2024 provided an opportunity for Elwood’s four students involved in Pirates Providing Hope to go to UNL for the day. There are no words that express our gratitude and appreciation to everyone that made this day so memorable.

Pirate speakers had a great day at FKC speech in Overton. Kara Brockman took 1st place in both Extemporaneous speaking and Persuasive speaking! Kassandra Salisbury earned 4th place in both Program of Oral Interp and Entertainment speaking. With just 2 speakers, Elwood placed 5th in the conference! Go Pirates!


The Pre-K's very own Big Kid Drew brought his medals from the wrestling state tournament. He won 5th place the last 2 years. The kids were ELATED to try them on and give him the poster that they made for him.
Big Kid Drew is an amazing idol for these kids. He’s kind, thoughtful and caring. Thanks Big Kid Drew for being YOU!
