“We ❤️ reading, yes we do! We ❤️ reading, how about you?” We wrapped up our Read Across America celebration with a reading cheer (which the elementary clearly won)😊Mr. Seberger read Duck on a Tractor, we sang a fun Dr. Seuss song, we took a Reading Oath, and everyone enjoyed a yummy cupcake. A huge thank you goes out to the Elwood Booster Club for donating money so we could celebrate reading in a big way!🕶📚❤️

The footprint for the building has been dug out, filled, tamped and compaction tested.

Yesterday, 3rd grade students designed a house that wouldn’t blow away in the “wind” for science. Today, we had our contractor, Clint, come in and explain how foundations/footings, anchor bolts, studs, roofs, etc. all go into building a structure that doesn’t blow away in the wind! Everything is connect so that foundation keeps us in place! We’re loving all the real life learning with this construction on site! Next week we can hopefully see the actual footings for this new construction!

❤️📚🕶Wan’Dale Robinson wasn’t able to read to us today, but Husker Linebacker, #31, Collin Miller and Husker Linebacker,#32, Purnell Jefferson Read The Tiny Seed to the elementary. It was fun to have them with us this afternoon! Go Big Red!🎈

📚🕶More Read Across America fun! Tuesday, Husker baseball player Aaron Dolney read The Cat in the Hat to the elementary classes. Today, Husker football player, #11, Austin Allen read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Tomorrow, Husker football player, #1, Wan’Dale Robinson will read another Dr. Seuss book to the elementary.❤️📚🕶
