The basketball coaching staff of Hi-Line would like to invite your child to work on basketball skills and fundamentals. We will work with your child for 1 hour every Saturday to improve their fundamentals for the game of basketball. This skills day is for girls and boys and includes grades 2-8. The coaching staff feels these skills days will help improve not only the children’s basketball skills but also their hand-eye coordination. We feel this gives kids the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of the game that would help make them better athletes for our athletic programs. We will work on these skills starting on December 5th and going through January 23rd. We look forward to seeing and working with your child this year!!

Christmas concert tonight. Parents/families that have children not involved in the concert tonight that are not able to stay at home. There will be daycare available at the school tonight. This service will be at no charge. We apologize for the late notice. The idea just came to us. We hope this helps everyone out and that you can come and enjoy the concert.

Tonight’s concert is 2 tickets per household. We realize that this puts people in a bind with siblings that are not in the concert. We are sorry but we have room for 2 per household. Not 3 (no matter the age). Thanks for your understanding. We are working at doing the best we can and observing the DHM’s and trying to keep everyone as safe as we can.

Winter activities will be a little different this year. We will be issuing tickets to parents on a per household basis for activities at Elwood. When teams go on the road each venue will have a different capacity and will issue tickets based on that capacity. We will try to inform you of each venue as it arises. The best thing to do is check with your child to see how many tickets have been issued. The Hi-Line Wrestling Invite will not be able to seat any spectators. We apologize for this but we felt it best to honor our contracts and let all teams come to the tournament. Basketball games at this time at Elwood will be able to accommodate two tickets per household. The Christmas concerts will be able to accommodate two tickets per household. The Quiz Bowl (due to using classrooms) will not be able to accommodate any spectators. Please check our website as we will be able to stream some activities but due to copyright laws, timing and spacing not all.

Tomorrow Tuesday, December 1st, we must leave room for a 60 foot crane to enter the parking lot. DO NOT park from the stop sign on the east end until 20 yards past the kitchen door. The area will be marked with barricades. It will be dark so please proceed carefully and look for barricades. Thank you.
