October Teacher Inservice:
The Steering Committee, along with the Data Analysis and Collection committees made presentations to the group to show trends from NSCAS; ACT, and MAP test scores from previous school years. This was done in order to decide an area of focus for the 2020-2025 School Improvement time frame. It was determined that Writing will be our school wide goal.
Other points of interest for the in-service were to have professional goals set and math and reading IXL goals completed by all teachers by specific deadlines.

MILTON vs. MUMFORD
The mummy needs a name
This week, the Pre-K students have been talking about the upcoming Election while exploring new vocabulary such as election, president, voting and current events.
A mummy appeared on our classroom door and Mr. Hatch was asked to help name the mummy. He came up with two names. Milton and Mumford.
The Pre-K students held their own ‘mock’ election to give them a meaningful voting experience. The voting booth (our classroom easel) allowed the students to cast their votes privately and without the influence of their peers.
The votes were cast and counted with Milton being declared the winner 11-7.
In the end, the students were the winners by demonstrating their understanding of an election and learning math concepts and new vocabulary words.
