The speech team gave Mrs. Salisbury a small gift this morning for all of the dedication and time she has given to this program. In her time at Elwood she has made every speech team member she has encountered a better speaker. Good Luck in your next adventure, Mrs. Salisbury!

Applied Science tested egg drop projects today. This was a cooperative project between the English and the Science departments. Mrs Salisbury was a guest speaker in the science classroom. She assisted the students with criteria and checklists for finding good sources.

Foods classes finished their One dish meals unit by cooking either stir fry, casseroles, or skillet meals in their cooking labs. Classes enjoyed comparing and sampling each other's dishes as well.

It has been a great year in 8th grade science. Today we tested egg towers. Each egg tower is unique. This demonstrated that there are many different ways to accomplish a task. This class did an excellent job of mastering the Nebraska Science Standards this year. Great job!
