
Thank you veterans, whether you were able to be with us today or not, your service will not be forgotten. Special recognition today to Paul Zerr, American Legion Post 290 commander who spoke at our assembly this morning. We'd also like to recognize our own staff member who served in the Marines, Dennis Seberger. Finally thanks to Mrs. Nickell for organizing the program and providing all the great music.



At the November In-service, led by the steering committee, staff continued working with the writing rubric that was chosen. They were give a writing prompt that was used for practice.

Give Big Elwood is going on today. Amongst the ninteen very worthy causes asking for your support are three that are directly school related. The Elwood TeamMates program, Elwood High Stampede and Elwood Booster Club each provide valuable service and help to our students. Please consider donating today. We thank you for your support.

Elwood's One-Act performs at the Cozad High School this Friday at 4:45 pm, and at the North Platte High School this Saturday at 5:00 pm. Both performances are open to audiences for a small admissions fee. We hope to see you there!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day for a walk-a-thon. The Elementary students raised more than $4,300 for the Veterans Memorial in Elwood. Our goal was $2,500! More pictures and an exact total to come!





Our Friend of the Week is Lilly! She was nominated for helping her friends and cheering them up when they are sad! Awesome job, Lilly!

High School One-Act kicks the season off in Gothenburg today with The Pukwudgie!


Hi-Line will not be participating in the Jamboree basketball games this season. It was scheduled for Monday, November 29.

On Wednesday, November 3 the Junior Class from Elwood HS enjoyed County Government Day and learning more about our local government. Thank you American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the Gosper County officials for the day!!


Our Friend of the Week is Kamrynn! She was nominated for being kind and always letting other students play with her! Great work, Kamrynn!

The Stampede is asking each class to submit one name idea to us by next Tuesday. Then we will get the Stampede groups for both schools together to narrow things down for a vote. Get your thinking caps on and send us your great name idea!
