Hoop season is back in session… hopefully. As basketball season arrives, we all hope for a 2020 basketball season. Steve Johnson, head coach for the Hi-Line boys basketball team, is ready for the 2020 season. Some of Johnson’s favorite things about coaching are being able to work with the players, develop basketball strategies for the team, and see the players be successful and have fun. Johnson says the team faces a couple of challenges: a lot of the players were seniors last year so it’s like they are starting over, and the team has no height. Of course, one of the many things we are facing this year is how basketball is affected by COVID-19. Johnson said, “This season is unknown, we’re going to be wearing masks, limiting fans and we are going to try to do everything we can to keep the players and fans safe.”
