On Friday, September 18, Ms. Barton's first quarter 8th grade art class had the opportunity to go to the Robert Henri Museum in Cozad. The museum included paintings and sketches in human form. They experienced a full tour of the museum and gallery, hands-on portraiture lessons, and collaborative learning with the Cozad 8th grade students.
Ms. Barton said “The field trip went really well, the walk-through and gallery were great, and the students had good interactions with Cozad students as well.”
Both the students and Barton thought the field trip was a success, everyone learned a lot, and had a great time overall.
Ms. Barton added, “I want to keep taking students to the museum as it was a lot of fun. If I could change anything, I would extend the time we are there.”
Ms. Barton is looking forward to taking her second quarter 8th grade art class to the Robert Henri Museum in December.
