On September 16th, Mr. Seberger took the Junior class to go see Come From Away, the musical. This musical is based on a true story of how the people of Gander, Newfoundland welcomed many airline passengers into their homes after they had to land during the attack of 9/11. There were roughly 7,000 airline passengers who had landed in Gander which bumped up the population at the time to nearly 10,000. After the production, I asked Seberger and a couple of the students some questions about their experience.

“What was something you enjoyed about the performance?”

Seberger said, “I really enjoyed the actors' ability to thoroughly switch between characters in an instance while on stage and in full view of the audience.  I also enjoyed how they cycled through multiple different sets simply by rearranging the layout of a bunch of chairs on stage."

“Did you learn anything from this production?”

Kylee said, “I learned the stories of multiple people who were affected by 9/11. If I had not gone to this play I probably would have never learned or understood their stories to the extent I do now.”

“Would you consider seeing more performances at Crane River Theater?”

Abigail said, “I definitely would come back to see more performances.”

Going to Crane River productions can be fun and even teach you something new that you may not know. If you ever have a chance to see a Crane River production yourself, be sure to take the opportunity!
