seniors advice

by Kory Hort

With the school year winding down, I asked a few Elwood seniors for some last words of wisdom before they graduate.

Jaci Muegerl offered this quote: “You’re taught a lesson in school then given a test, but in life you’re given a test then a lesson.” She also offered some advice for younger students:  “Don’t procrastinate your work, respect the teachers and everyone around you, and have fun.”

For Zach Whittaker, the words of Frank Ocean sum it up: “We’ll never be those kids again.” His advice for students is, “Go out for extra curricular activities early and as much as you can and figure out what you like and don’t like.”

Judah Niemeier advises younger students to “have fun in school.” Niemeier’s parting words are: “The roof is not my son but I still raise it,” (anonymous).

A quote that speaks for Alex White is: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” His advice to younger students is “Don’t procrastinate.”
