As Tylyn Henry, Elwood fourth grade teacher, is getting ready to head back to teach at Cozad Elementary School next year, she shared some things she loved while being here.
Some of Henry’s best memories while being here have been dance parties in the classroom, getting to hatch chicks during 4H visits, and all the fun projects she has been able to do over the years with teaching fourth graders. She has also loved working with all the teachers. Her best teacher memory was when Miss Borden couldn’t pronounce a student's last name, and she called it something silly.
Mrs. Henry plans to be in Cozad next year, teaching a kindergarten class that happens to be in the same place as her youngest son. Henry said “I’m excited to use some of the things I learned when student teaching at the kindergarten level and my knowledge from teaching at Elwood and applying it to my new position.”
She’s looking forward to being in the same school that her children attend as well as having a grade level collaboration team.
“I’m going to miss all of the relationships that I have built with my students and the friendships that I have formed with my coworkers,” Henry said.
