senior spotlight ryker evans

Ryker Evans is a Senior at Elwood high School, and he took a few minutes to reflect and share his high school experience over the past few years. While in high school, Evans did several activities.

“I did football, basketball, track, one-act, FFA, National Honor Society, and Quiz Bowl,” said Evans.

His favorite classes are English and history.

“English was always one of my favorites because of the conversations in the class, and history because current events were always a highlight of my Friday,” Evans said.

Like most seniors, Evans is looking forward to graduation. His favorite memory in school was playing a prank on a substitute his 6th grade year.

“In 6th grade my whole class pretended to be someone else when we had a substitute. My teacher found out the next day and my whole class had to write apology letters,” explained Evans.

He will miss the good and the bad times in high school.

“I will miss all the hardships and good times my class has had together,” Evans said.

His advice for other students  is “enjoy it.”

“One day at a time; enjoy the ups and downs,” advised Evans.

Evans is going to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln next year.

“I plan to go to the University of Nebraska where I will play football and study business,” said Evans.
