Fifth Graders are Excited about Fractions

The fifth grade students are gearing up for the final quarter of the school year. They have been busy preparing for the science fair, getting their experiments organized and entering all their data and information onto their posters. In math, they have been learning about comparing and rounding decimals to the thousands place and will soon be diving into adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions! Ms. Borden says, “They’re super pumped up about it too.”

The students say they are looking forward to going to the Water Jamboree at the Harlan County Reservoir this spring where they will be learning about water systems, conservation, irrigation, and all things related to water!
