The Hi-Line Golf Team is getting ready for the golf season! Dennis Seberger has been coaching the team for four years; he shared some thoughts about the upcoming season.

Seberger says his favorite thing about coaching is when he sees the excitement in the golfer’s eyes when they have a personal best round of golf!

The unpredictable weather during spring poses the biggest challenge to coaching golf, according to Seberger.

“With practice starting in late February or early March we often still have cold or wet days that make golf practice and tournaments difficult,” he explained.

Seberger’s advice to students on the golf team is to keep practicing and keep hitting balls.

“The way to get better at golf is more golf. Consistency is key; the more you do the more you will learn and improve in every way possible!” said Seberger.

Seberger added that team members should golf all summer if they can.

“Being a coach for Hi-Line is an exciting opportunity because we have a great group of students in our schools, and getting to know them and rely on them has been a highlight of my time here,” he commented.  “I'm really looking forward to another season and to seeing what we accomplish as a team!”
